President Salva Kiir Mayardit travels to South Africa for high-level talks with his counterpart

The two leaders are expected to review progress in the electoral process, discuss regional support for peaceful and credible elections, and follow up on commitments made during previous engagements.The talks will also focus on peace, stability, national dialogue, and strengthening democratic institutions as South Sudan moves toward the completion of its transitional period.The visit underscores the longstanding bilateral relations between South Sudan and South Africa and Pretoria’s continued regional partnership in support of the country’s democratic transition.
