Governor Adil Renews Peace Call, Pledges Improved Service Delivery In Yei Corridor

Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has renewed calls for armed groups to embrace peace and pledged improved delivery of essential services across the Greater Yei Corridor. Governor Adil made the remarks in Juba while briefing the media on the outcomes of his 12-day working tour of Lainya, Yei River, Morobo and Wonduruba Administrative Payam. During the tour, Governor Adil engaged communities on peace, security and development priorities, urging armed groups to abandon violence and embrace peace for the stability and development of the region. He also pledged government support to improve health and education services, rehabilitate key roads and support community-led development initiatives across the corridor. The Governor further emphasized the need for strengthened cross-border cooperation to promote stability and economic activities. Governor Adil urged citizens to register and participate peacefully in the December 2026 elections, reaffirming that peace, development and improved service delivery remain priorities of the Central Equatoria State Government.
