he training of 1,585 police personnel is progressing significantly in Wau town, Western Bahr el Ghazal State, marking an important milestone as South Sudan prepares for the general elections scheduled for December 2026.The training has brought together police personnel from Raja, Wau and Jur River counties, with authorities urging the trainees to maintain discipline, professionalism and impartiality as their role will be critical before, during and after the elections.The exercise is part of wider efforts by the Ministry of Interior and the National Police Service to strengthen the capacity of officers to maintain peace, protect citizens and secure the electoral process.
