Caretaker FM Adut Vows To Use Diplomatic Experience To Boost Country’s Foreign Policy

The Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Cecilia Adut Manyok, says she will draw on her extensive diplomatic experience to strengthen the country’s foreign policy and international engagement as South Sudan moves towards elections.Adut made the commitment during the assumption of office, thanking President Kiir for nurturing her diplomatic career, during which she served in various capacities, including as South Sudan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and her recent presentation at the concluded UNGA on behalf President Salva Kiir. As she assumes role, expectations are that her experience should contribute to strengthening South Sudan’s diplomatic engagement and international cooperation. The outgoing Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr James Pitia Morgan, pledges his continued support to Adut during her tenure.
