Health Authorities Inspect Ebola Treatment Center In Yambio As Part Preparations

The National Health Authorities have conducted an inspection visit to an Ebola treatment center in the Nabiapai area of ​​Western Equatoria State as part of national preparatory measures to combat the importation of the virus .    The Acting Executive Director of National Public Health Institute Dr. Ader Machar confirms that the country remains free of Ebola, noting that the Health Authorities has implemented rapid response plans along the borders with the D.R.C and Uganda to prevent the disease to entering the country, urging authorities of Western Equatoria State to report any suspected cases of Ebola and to conduct screenings at entry points. The World Health Organization Representative Dr. William Baguma Mbabazi commended the South Sudanese government's role in developing a strategy to to combat Ebola to not entry into the country.
