The Ministerial High-Level Committee on Economic Reforms has referred the construction companies rehabilitating the Juba-Nimule Highway to the Ministry of Roads and Bridges for supervision, as they work continues. The Rapporteur of the Committee, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister, James Mawich Makuach discloses this on Monday following a comprehensive presentation by companies regarding the progress of road maintenance. Mawich says Juba-Nimule Highway is the life line to the people of South Sudan, and that its rehabilitation is important to ensure trucks transporting goods move smoothly. The Rapporteur says the committee has been briefed by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Michael Chiengjiek about the institution’s role on revenue collections.
