Council of Ministers Advances Emergency Repatriation of Vulnerable South Sudanese from Egypt

The government has approved 26-point-5 million U.S. dollars to facilitate the emergency repatriation and sustainable reintegration of an estimated 20,000 South Sudanese nationals stranded in Egypt.The decision was reached during the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers, chaired by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.The funding is intended to support the safe return and reintegration of the affected nationals amid growing concerns over their living conditions and legal status in Egypt.The government says the initiative is aimed at ensuring the returnees receive appropriate support as they resettle and rebuild their lives in South Sudan
