The Sudan Peopleโs Liberation Movement, SPLM, has begun reorganizing its structures in five counties of Upper Nile State ahead of the December 2026 general elections. SPLM Secretary-General Dr. Akol Paul Kordit held a meeting with party leaders from the five counties to discuss preparations for the upcoming polls. Speaking to SSBC, SPLM Political Bureau member Stephen Diu Dau says the partyโs structures in the counties are being reorganized and strengthened as part of preparations for the elections scheduled for 22 December. He says the meeting is part of the SPLMโs wider efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures and mobilize party members ahead of the national vote.
