NBS & UNDP Concludes Power BI Data Analysis Training On Bridging Raw Data Collect

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), in collaboration with the UNDP and the African Development Bank concludes a 13-day intensive digital data analysis and visualization training program focused on Microsoft Power BI. Financed by AfDB under the Institutional Support Project for Strengthening Economic Governance in South Sudan (STEG-SS), the training brought together statisticians, economists, planners, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) officers from the NBS and partner government institutions. Designed to bridge raw data collection and strategic decision-making, the curriculum equipped participants with practical technical competencies. Dr. Augustino Ting Mayai, Director General of the National Bureau of Statistics, has emphasized the transformative vision of the country’s statistical sector. UNDP Representative Catherine Waliaula , Said Through investments in tools such as STATA and Power BI, with sustained capacity development, they are building toward institutions that can independently generate, analyze, and communicate the evidence needed to guide South Sudan’s development.
