The Ministerial High-Level Committee on Economic Reform convened its 18th regular meeting at the premises of the Ministry of Finance and Planning this afternoon in a session chaired by Hon. Pieng Deng Kuol.In his media statement after the meeting, the Rapporteur of the Committee, Hon. James Mawich Makuach said the meeting listened to a presentation by representatives of Mobile Network operators comprising of MTN, Zain and Digitel and briefed the committee on their position on the implementation of the policy enforcing payment of taxes in cash. The committee also resolved to form a subcommittee to review the Government-to-Government oil supply agreement between South Sudan and Kenya and draft a final document that will prioritize the interest of South Sudan and ensure sufficient and affordable fuel supply in the market.Minister Mawich also told the media that the Committee will begin engaging economist and renowned members of academia to consider their resourceful technical know-how and inputs to support and enrich the work of the Committee
