Vice President for gender and youth cluster Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior engages with the IGAD Head of Mission to South Sudan to discuss how young people can take a central role in peace building across the country. The meeting focused on identifying ways youths should be engaged in activities that promote both peace and development. In her remarks, Victoria Anib Majur IGAD head of mission called on youths to embrace peace and dialogue rather than violence, stressing that constructive engagement is key to sustaining stability in communities. Β In a separate meeting, Nyandeng de Mabior also met partners for the Country Wide Investment Summits, highlighting the many opportunities available-particularly in agriculture and in international investment across multiple sectors. Deng Bona, Strategic Partnership Officer for CWI Summits, said preparations are underway to host-the summit from 29th September to 2nd October, adding that the event is expected to connect investors and stakeholders to support growth and development. Clara Marial Benjamin, CWI Summits Representative, called for support from the Government of South Sudan to ensure the investment summit succeeds and achieves its objectives for the country's economic transformation.Β
