Hon. Yar Paul Kuol celebrated the milestone, highlighting that 96,000 residents in Bor will now have access to clean drinking water. She thanked the Minister for his continued support and the local team for their commitment. Ambassador Tholen praised the collaboration among partners and urged local authorities to take ownership and ensure sustainability. Governor Dr. Riek Gai Kok expressed deep gratitude to the Dutch government for its enduring friendship and technical cooperation in water management and flood control. In his remarks, Minister Makuach reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening water governance and capacity building, including plans to establish the South Sudan National Water Institute to promote research and innovation in sustainable water management. This project stands as a testament to the collective effort of national and international partners, delivering tangible progress in access to safe and sustainable water for the people of South Sudan.
