The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Hon. James Mawich Makuach, has returned to Juba this evening from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, accompanied by a delegation of senior officials from the Ministry. The visit came in response to an official invitation from the Minister of Water and Energy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, inviting Hon. Makuach to participate in the 2nd Ethiopian Water and Energy Week (EWEW), held from October 27 to October 31, 2025, at the Science Museum in Addis Ababa. The event, held under the theme “Harnessing Water and Clean Energy for Sustainable Growth,” served as a key platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and partnership on sustainable water and energy resource management. It brought together government representatives, academia, the private sector, and international development partners through plenary sessions, technical workshops, exhibitions, and networking engagements. Upon his arrival in Juba, Hon. James Mawich Makuach was warmly received by Hon. Undersecretary, John Achier Manyuat at Juba International Airport. Hon.James Mawich Makuach Wel expressed his appreciation to the Government and the people of Ethiopia for their warm hospitality and for successfully hosting such an important regional event aimed at promoting cooperation and innovation in the water and energy sectors.
