May 22, 2026 1 min read

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, in collaboration with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, has dispatched a second consignment of wheat assistance to 10 states and three administrative areas, in a renewed effort to respond to the growing humanitarian needs of vulnerable communities across the country. The distribution, witnessed by state and administrative area coordinators, forming part of the government’s broader humanitarian intervention aimed at supporting families affected by both natural disasters and man-made crises. Speaking during the dispatch, the Executive Director of the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, Kachuol Benjamin Makoi, said the intervention reflects the government’s determination to prioritize the welfare and dignity of internally displaced persons and other affected populations, while reinforcing national efforts to respond to urgent humanitarian needs.
