South Sudan’s basketball delegation has received a warm homecoming in Juba following the successful conclusion of Window 4 of the FIBA World Cup qualifiers. The delegation, led by Youth and Sports Minister Atong Kuol Manyang, was received by senior government officials, including the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Museums and National Heritage, Dr. Julia Amon Wantok Ater.Passionate fans also gathered to celebrate the team’s performance and success.Minister Atong commended the players for their outstanding performance and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to developing basketball in the country.Culture Minister Sarah Nyanath Elijah Yong thanked cultural groups and fans for their continued support of the national team. Basketball Federation President Luol Deng also thanked President Salva Kiir Mayardit and the people of South Sudan for their continued support and solidarity with the team.
