SPLM Meets Lopit Community over Civilian Protection Across Lopit Land

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) National Secretariat has held talks with the Lopit community in Eastern Equatoria State to address the recent incident which marked displacement of residents in the area. The delegation appealed for urgent humanitarian assistance, the establishment of an investigation committee into the incident, and the installation of communication networks to support affected grassroots communities. SPLM Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs and Mobilisation, Koang Danhier reassured the community of the party’s peace agenda. The Secretary for Political Affairs and Mobilisation, John Andurga, emphasizes the need for both immediate relief and long-term support.
