Body Of Late Maj. Gen. Atem Aruei De Mabior Received At Juba Int’l Airport

The body of the late Maj. General Atem Aruei de Mabior has been received at Juba International Airport by the Vice President for the Gender and Youth Cluster, Rebecca Nyandeng de Mabior, together with officials from the South Sudan National Police Service and the Criminal Investigation Department. Maj. General Atem Aruei de Mabior was born on July 25, 1964, and passed away on July 21, 2026, in Kenya, where he had been receiving medical treatment.

 

According to family members, the deceased had been battling diabetes, which eventually claimed his life. At the time of his death, Maj. General Atem Aruei de Mabior was a senior figure in the police leadership, previously serving as Director of the Anti-Vehicle Theft Department before becoming Director of the Criminal Investigation Department and Crimes Prevention. Officials described him as a dedicated and responsive officer who consistently answered the call of duty with commitment, leadership, and guidance, whether during working hours or late at night.
