The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, engages with his Western Equatoria counterpart, Daniel Badagbu Rimbasa, in discussions on accelerating the implementation of the Rokon Peace Consensus aimed at strengthening peace and security along their common border. The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enforcing key resolutions, including cracking down on criminal activities, returning cattle to their rightful owners, and conducting joint border patrols along the road linking the two states. The Rokon Peace Consensus, reached last month in Rokon, brought together communities from Terekeka County in Central Equatoria and Greater Mundari areas in Western Equatoria to end cattle-related conflicts and promote peaceful coexistence.
Both governors called on border communities to remain calm as the two state governments work to fully implement the agreed resolutions.
