The commercial banks operating there have commended the Ministerial High-Level Committee on Economic Reforms for introducing cash collections policy to ensure availability of liquidity in the banks, following a meeting chaired by Economic Reforms’ head of Subcommittee, General Aleu Ayieny Aleu and representatives. Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development and a member of Economic Reforms Committee, Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, stresses significant strides in cash collection. Representative of the Bank of South Sudan’s branch in Nimule who attended the meeting, supported the remarks made by heads of commercial banks in the boder town of Nimule. In a related development, the Ministerial High-Level Committee on Economic Reforms’ subcommittee has engaged in talks with clearing agents and members of the Fright and forwarders in a bid to find ways of closing the loopholes in the collection of revenues.
