A delegation from the Abyei Administrative Area government led by a representative of the Chief Administrator, Kuol Agany and accompanied by the Minister of Information and Communications, Yohannes Akol Ngor, as well as Sultan Pagud Nyuol Pagud of the Bongo community visited the Amid area. In statement shortly after a field visit to the Ameth market which had been targeted by a drone strike, Kuol Agany representing the Chief Administrator, emphasized that the government is taking the necessary steps to investigate the circumstances surrounding the aerial drone attack on the market. Yohannes Akol Ngor, Minister of Information and official spokesperson for the Abyei Administrative Area government, denounced the drone attack, stressing that the administration condemns the incident in the strongest possible terms. Sultan Pagud Nyuol Pagud also condemned the drone strike on the Amiet market in the strongest terms, affirming that the traditional leadership stands with the government to bolster security and stability.
