Gov’t Delegation Returns From Angola AU Session

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. James Pitia Morgan, returns to Juba after a successful participation in the Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union on Conflict Prevention and Resolution in Angola. The Minister accompanies Senior Presidential Envoy on Special Programs, Adut Salva Kiir Mayardit, to the summit which strengthened Conflict Prevention efforts across African continent. During the session, the South Sudanese delegation emphasises the importance of locally owned and regionally and continentally supported efforts in achieving sustainable peace across Africa. While in Luanda, the Minister takes part in a number of bilateral and multilateral engagements involving Angola, Kenya, Morocco, IGAD and the African Union Commission, alongside the Senior Presidential Envoy.
