JUBA, RIYADH SEEK TO DEEPEN PARLIAMENTARY TIES FOR MUTUAL BENEFIT

Juba and Riyadh have renewed their commitment to strengthening parliamentary relations for mutual benefit. This follows talks between a South Sudanese parliamentary delegation led by Stephen Lual Ngor, a member of the National Assembly’s Foreign Relations and International Cooperation Committee, and Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sulami, Deputy Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between South Sudan and Saudi Arabia in the areas of trade, investment, and economic development.

Ngor praises Saudi Arabia’s rapid development under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, commending the Kingdom’s role in promoting regional and international peace, stability, and sustainable development.

Ngor reaffirmed President Salva Kiir’s commitment to stabilizing South Sudan to create a conducive environment for investment.

In response, the Deputy Speaker reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening parliamentary and diplomatic cooperation with South Sudan in ways that serve mutual interests.
