Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony officiated the swearing-in of the Speaker of the Central Equatoria State Revitalized Transitional Legislative Assembly Rt. Hon. Taban Emmanuel Baya, describing the occasion as a turning point for strengthening legislative leadership, restoring procedural order, and enhancing institutional effectiveness after the Parliament operated for a long period without a Speaker. The Governor said the moment was critical to ensure the orderly, impartial, and lawful conduct of Parliamentary business, both procedurally and morally. Speaker Taban Emmanuel Baya, has pledged to remain impartial, safeguard freedom of expression, and ensure that debates are rigorous, respectful, and focused on the common good of the people.
