<p >It is with profound sadness that I received the news of the passing of Hon. Molana Mayen Wol Jong on August 4, 2026. In his passing, our nation has lost an illustrious and dedicated son.<o:p></o:p></p><p >On behalf of the Government, my family, and the people of the Republic of South Sudan, I convey my heartfelt condolences to his family, his colleagues in the South Sudanese public service, the entire Kuac Community during this time of immense grief and all those who are mourning his loss. What makes his passing more painful to me is that Molana Mayen Wol was among the individuals who were recommended to me when I arrived in Khartoum in 2005. <o:p></o:p></p><p >More importantly, Molana Mayen was a Statesman who embodies trust, driven by his sense of responsibility and faithfulness in safeguarding the public interest in all his endeavours. The widespread outpouring of tributes across the country reflects the high esteem in which he was held. Throughout his distinguished career, spanning church-based organizations, government service, and community leadership, he demonstrated incredible dedication to serving his people. He will be remembered as a decisive leader who consistently rose to the occasion when it mattered most.<o:p></o:p></p><p >As we mourn his passing and struggle with this profound loss, may his rich legacy of public service inspire our continued commitment to the nation.
