President Salva Kiir Mayardit, has arrived in Kampala, Uganda, to attend Tuesday’s inauguration ceremony of incumbent President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, after his re-election for seventh term in office. During his visit, President Kiir is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Museveni aimed at strengthening relations between South Sudan and Uganda, as well as discussing key regional and security matters of mutual interest.
Upon arrival in Kampala, President Kiir was received by Uganda’s Minister for Public Service, Muruli Mukasa, alongside South Sudan’s Ambassador to Uganda, Paul Molong Akaro, and other government officials.
