President Kiir Directs SPLM Cadres To Strengthen Diplomatic Engagement Ahead Of Polls

The SPLM meeting, as President Salva Kiir has directed SPLM leaders across the states and administrative areas to strengthen security, promote unity, and ensure citizens freely participate in the electoral process. The Chairman was speaking, during a meeting with SPLM chairpersons from the states and administrative areas and attended by Secretary-General Dr. Akol Paul Kordit. SPLM Secretary General Dr. Akol Paul Kordit says that during the meeting, President Kiir has called on SPLM leaders to strengthen security and improve governance, emphasising that citizens should be able to participate in the electoral process in a peaceful and well-prepared environment.

He urges leaders at all levels to work closely with communities to promote unity, safeguard public security, and create conditions that will enable voters to exercise their democratic rights without fear. The Head of State reiterated his commitment to ensuring that peace and stability prevail across South Sudan, noting that these are essential for credible and orderly elections.
