<p >the Economic Reform Sub-Committee, chaired by the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Dr. Wek Mamer Kuol, convened on Friday to discuss urgent measures aimed at curbing inflation and addressing soaring prices, including the high cost of fuel that has affected many citizens across the country.<o:p></o:p></p><p> </p><p >Speaking to the media on behalf of the Sub-Committee of the Ministerial High-Level Committee on Economic Reform, established by President Salva Kiir Mayardit, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Margaret Labanya Mathya, confirmed that 200 fuel trucks are expected to arrive in the country next week through entities engaged in a tripartite agreement with the Ministry of Petroleum. With a litre of fuel currently costing about SSP 18,500 in Juba and more than SSP 20,000 in some parts of the country, Dr. Labanya said the expected arrival of the fuel trucks will help reduce prices, adding that the committee is committed to addressing the prevailing economic challenges within the one-month timeframe provided under the presidential order that established the reform committee.<o:p></o:p></p>
