The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Albino Akol Atak, has convened senior officials from the United Nations Mission in South Sudan to discuss the country’s humanitarian situation and preparations for the general elections scheduled for 22 December 2026.
During the meeting, Minister Atak highlights progress on the amended Constitution and reaffirms the Government’s commitment to conducting inclusive elections as planned.
Senior Political Affairs Officer at UNMISS, Ndubisi Obiorah, says the discussions reviewed the national electoral preparations.
