Youth Minister Reaffirms SSD Commitment To EAC Social Affairs Agenda

The National Minister of Youth and Sports, Atong Kuol Manyang Juuk, has reaffirmed South Sudan’s commitment to strengthening regional cooperation on youth development and social affairs during the First Meeting of the East African Community Sectoral Council on Social Affairs in Dar es Salaam. The meeting brought together senior officials from EAC Partner States to review progress in implementing regional decisions on gender, youth, children, social protection, community development, labour, employment, and immigration.

Minister Atong said South Sudan remains committed to working closely with fellow EAC Partner States to advance regional integration through stronger collaboration on youth empowerment, social protection, employment, and other initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of the people of East Africa.
