<p >The Minister of Finance and Planning, Kuol Daniel Ayulo convenes talks with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), headed by the Country Resident Representative, Dr. Mohammed Abcir, on bolstering continued cooperation between the Ministry and UN agency, specifically in the areas of technical support, mobilizing donor support through a centralized basket fund to boost development programs and facilitating trainings and strengthening of staff capacity building in different fields. During the meeting, Minister Ayulo commends the role being played by UNDP in South Sudan. In a related development, the<b> </b>Minister of Finance and Planning, Kuol Daniel Ayulo has convened with the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Ramanathan Balakrishnan, also who serves as the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary General in South Sudan. Balakrishna briefed the Minister about plans to renew the UN cooperation framework, and the need to incorporate government priorities into UN humanitarian and development programs in the country, requesting Minister Ayulo to assign a focal person to periodically update UN agencies and development partners on the progress of the National Development Plan formulation in order to coordinate areas of cooperation between government and partners. The Minister pledges to work closely with UN Humanitarian and Resident Coordinator and other partners to achieve sustainable development in South Sudan. <o:p></o:p></p>
