GOVERNOR DR. MANYTUIL WARNS MAYOM YOUTH AGAINST VIOLENCE, ENCOURAGES UNITY

The Governor of Unity State, Dr. Joseph Manytuil Wejang, has called on the youth of Mayom County to refrain from violence and instead support peace and reconciliation to enable the delivery of services and development.

He made these remarks while addressing a crowd upon his arrival in Mayom, where he is assessing the status of social services and the prevailing security situation.

Governor Wejang received a warm and ceremonial welcome from the local population, including women’s cultural groups, traditional leaders, and youth representatives—reflecting strong community engagement and support for his visit.

He is expected to hold further consultations with traditional leaders, community stakeholders, and local authorities to develop practical and sustainable solutions aimed at restoring peace and improving service delivery in Mayom County.
