Grassroots Report Calls For Urgent Improvement In Rural Road Connectivity

President Salva Kiir has directed Vice President Hussein and the Minister of Presidential Affairs, Africano Mande Gedima, to work closely together in coordinating government efforts to address the highlighted concerns.

President Kiir issues the directives upon receiving a detailed briefing from Vice President for the Service Cluster Hussein Abdelbagi Akol following his recent tour of several areas in the Bahr el Ghazal region, where he engaged with communities at the grassroots level and gathered urgent development priorities and concerns.

VP Hussein outlined key issues raised by citizens, with particular emphasis on the urgent need to improve road connectivity across rural and semi-rural areas. Communities also highlighted challenges in accessing clean and safe drinking water, especially in agricultural settlements where many farmers have relocated in pursuit of farming activities.
