FINANCE MINISTER TAKES UP PFM-OC CHAIR DURING MONTHLY MEETING

The Public Financial Management-Oversight Committee [PFM-OC] meeting, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Planning, listened to a presentation by secretariat on the progress of its activities which began back in 2020 to present. The committee welcomed the finance minister who highlighted the importance of advancing economic reforms for South Sudan to realize economic stability.

British Ambassador and Co-chair of the PFM-OC, David Ashley, reiterated his calls on the committee to fundamentally work on the improvement in the country’s infrastructure in term of essential services and economic development, saying that these are the choices of prioritization of effective governance, as well as technical capacity.
