The National Minister of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services, Ateny Wek Ateny has returned to Juba from Nakuru Independence engagements where he delivered President Kiir’s message on independence day, calling on citizens to prepare for the upcoming December elections at the end of the transitional period. Upon his arrival at Juba International Airport, Minister says he participated in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2026 and the Artificial Intelligence Global Summit in Geneva, Switzerland, where he enlightened the summit on South Sudan’s unwavering commitment to global collaborations aimed at advancing digital transformation agenda. after attending Geneva summit, Ateny proceeded to Nakuru, Kenya to celebrate independence day with the South Sudanese there, calling them to rally behind President Salva Kiir Mayardit as the national elections beckon.
