<p >The Vice President for the Service Cluster, Hussein Abdelbagi Akol, has officially handed over the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to the newly appointed National Minister, Clement Juma Mbugoniwia months after vacating the position following his appointment as Vice President in February. Addressing the occasion, Vice President Abdelbagi encourages the newly appointed Minister to prioritize mechanized and commercial agriculture in order to transform the sector from subsistence farming into a modern agricultural system capable of creating jobs, reducing food imports and improving rural livelihoods.<b> </b>The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Clement Juma Mbugonvia, said his leadership will focus on identifying the agricultural potential of each state to ensure specialized and productive farming across the country.  <b><o:p></o:p></b></p><p> </p><p >The Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare, Nuna Rhoda Rudolf, emphasized the importance of empowering women, supporting vulnerable communities, and promoting sustainable agricultural activities to address hunger and strengthen household livelihoods.<o:p></o:p></p>
