The Central Equatoria State Committee tasked with Assessing and Regulating the Artisanal mining activities conducted in various sites within the State has handed a draft State Mining Regulation to Governor Adil for approval.The Governor commended the committee for drafting such an important document that will also help the State in economic diversifications. He blessed the draft, directing the State Minister of Trade and Industry to effect the operationalization of the document as soon as possible. The draft Mining Regulation will serve as an important legal framework of reinforcing inspections, compliance, environmental protection, enforcement, and licensing for all Mining operations within the State.
