The SPLM Secretary General, Dr Akol Paul Kordit, has convened with his SPLM-IO counterpart Agok Makur Kur to discuss political space and areas of cooperation ahead of the elections. In a joint statement, SPLM Secretary for Social Welfare and Services Peris Kenji Elia says the meeting focused on political activities, mutual understanding and cooperation between the two parties as the country prepares for elections. A senior SPLM-IO representative says the party is ready for elections and committed to strengthening cooperation between the two parties.
