<p >As the ruling party prepares for two major political events — the 43rd anniversary on May 16 and the general elections in December 2026 — SPLM Secretary General Dr. Akol Paul Kordit has been busy chairing preparatory meetings at the party’s Secretariat in Juba. During those meetings, the SPLM Secretary for Political Affairs and Mobilisation, John Andruga, officially announced the upcoming May 16 anniversary celebrations. Dr. Kordit also sat down separately with the Chief Administrator of the Greater Pibor Administrative Area, Gola Boyoi Gola.
