Economic Reform Committee To Inspect Revenue Collection At Juba Int’l Airport

The Ministerial High-Level Committee on Economic Reform chaired by Pieng Deng Kuol, has proposed a field visit to Juba International Airport to assess the working conditions and revenue mobilization efforts by tax-collecting agencies. Speaking to the media after the meeting, the Committee’s Rapporteur, James Mawich, says the visit would enable the Committee to review the methods used in revenue collection and the management of resources generated from the airport. The Rapporteur also briefed the media on the activities of a subcommittee led by Interior Minister General Aleu Ayieny Aleu, which was dispatched to Nimule to follow up on the implementation of policies and directives issued by the Committee during its first visit to the border town in July this year.
