Tnla Speaker, UN Envoy Discuss Peace Implementation, 2026 Elections

The Speaker of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly, Rt. Hon. Joseph Ngere Paciko, has engaged in talks with head of  UNMISS Anita Kiki on elections.

TNLA spokesperson Oliver Mori says the discussions focused on the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement, the political situation in the country, and preparations for the upcoming December 2026 General Elections.

Mori said dialogue remains the best way to address the political challenges facing the country and ensure a peaceful electoral process. Anita Kiki says peace remains the ultimate objective for stability in South Sudan, emphasizing the importance of dialogue in ensuring peaceful, free, and fair elections.
