The Honorable Amb. Dr. James Pitia Morgan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a courtesy meeting today with H.E. Kiki Gbeho, Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan

H.E. Gbeho briefed the Hon. Minister on her recent engagement with the United Nations Security Council on South Sudan. The two sides also identified a number of matters for further engagement, including preparations for the upcoming United Nations General Assembly, development cooperation, and issues relating to UNMISS contingency measures and the reversibility of aspects of the Mission’s downsizing.The meeting underscored the importance of continued dialogue and constructive engagement between the Government of the Republic of South Sudan and the United Nations on matters of mutual interest
