<p>The ministerial economic reform Committee led by the Minister of the east African community Affairs, Pieng Deng Kuol, convened to forge way forward in taming the continued market inflation affecting the living conditions of the citizens by resolving immediate rehabilitation of Juba-Nimule highway to boost trade. The approval follows a presentation by the Minister of Roads and Bridges Peter Lam Both. According to the committee’s rapporteur, minister of water resources, James Mawich Makuch, national bureau of standards has directed to stepped up testing of all imported goods at the border crossings to safeguard consumers. The committee convenes days after returning from the Nimule border engagements on addressing gaps in tax collection triggered by the resurgence of the illegally mounted checkpoints along Juba-Nimule Highway. </p>
