<p ><b>The</b> First Deputy Chairperson of the SPLM and Vice President, Dr. James Wani Igga, has engaged in talks with the East African Legislative Assembly Member of Parliament Hon. Kim Gai on addressing national economic issues and South Sudan’s representation in the regional parliament. During the meeting, Gai briefed Vice President Igga on the activities and challenges facing the East African Legislative Assembly, as well as preparations for the nomination of South Sudan’s SPLM candidate to the Assembly in Arusha, Tanzania.<o:p></o:p></p><p> </p><p >Gai has called on the SPLM leadership to nominate a candidate for the position of Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly. Dr. Igga has assured commitment to selecting a suitable representative to advance South Sudan’s interests and commended the country’s EALA representatives for promoting regional cooperation.<o:p></o:p></p>
