ENERGY & DAMS MINISTER IN CAIRO FOR THE 21ST COUNCIL OF MINISTERS

The Minister of Energy and Dams, Agok Makur Kur is in Cairo, Egypt, for the 21st Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Eastern Africa Power Pool scheduled for Wednesday 29th April. South Sudan’s participation comes within the framework of strengthening regional cooperation in the energy sector and keeping pace with the launch of the regional electricity market.

The meeting is expected to discuss key issues, including the development of a competitive regional power market, mobilizing investments in renewable energy sources, and enhancing energy security.
