South Sudan, UAE Strengthen Bilateral Ties, Paving Way For Skills Training In UAE

<p >The government<b> </b>delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation Dr. James Pitia Morgan has engaged in talks with officials of the United Arab Emirates including the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs responsible for African Affairs, Sheikh Shakhboot, on fostering regional issues and ways to deepen bilateral relations between the two countries. The two sides also agreed to reactivate the 2019 Memorandum of Understanding on diplomatic training, which had been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The programme will enable young South Sudanese diplomats to receive professional training in the UAE.<b><o:p></o:p></b></p><p > </p><p> </p><p >The delegation further appealed for the lifting of travel restrictions affecting South Sudanese citizens, emphasizing that South Sudan is free of Ebola.<o:p></o:p></p>
