South Sudan has joined the Arab Republic of Egypt in commemorating the 74th Anniversary of the 23 July 1952 Revolution during a ceremony held at the Egyptian Embassy in Juba. Representing President Salva Kiir Mayardit, the Minister of Energy and Dams, Agok Makur Kur, congratulated the Government and people of Egypt on the historic occasion and reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations between the two countries. The Egyptian Ambassador to South Sudan described the 23 July Revolution as a defining moment in Egypt’s history, saying it laid the foundation for the country’s national development and modernization.
