Vice-President for the Service Cluster, Hussein Abdelbagi Akol, engages in talks with the U.S. Ambassador to South Sudan, Michael J. Adler, on bolstering cooperation in key sectors, particularly health and education.
During the meeting, the U.S. Ambassador briefed the Vice President on a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Government and the United States aimed at supporting and financing the country’s health sector. Ambassador Adler reaffirmed continued U.S. support to South Sudan, emphasizing the importance of peace and stability for development.
For his part, Vice President Abdelbagi, through his Press Secretary, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to co-financing the health sector and ensuring timely payment of salaries for health and education workers to improve service delivery.
