VP DR. IGGA ASSURES INTERVENTION AFTER KAPOETA EAST COMMISSIONER’S KILLING

Vice President James Wani Igga has assured government intervention to restore peace following the killing of Kapoeta East County Commissioner, Lucio Stephen Lomongen. The Vice President received a delegation from Eastern Equatoria State led by Governor Louis Lobong Lojore, who briefed him on the incident that occurred on the 11th of this month in the Kessengor area. Governor Lobong says they are consulting with the national government ahead of a thorough investigation into the incident to hold killers accountable, appealing for a shared intervention to de-escalate tensions.
