ECONOMIC CLUSTER APPROVES FY 2026/27 BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR CABINET REVIEW

the Economic Cluster has approved the Resource Envelope for the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year and forwarded it to the Council of Ministers for consideration. This comes during a cluster meeting chaired, chaired by the Vice President Dr. James Wani Igga.

Finance and Planning Minister Daniel Kuol Ayulo presented the proposed budget estimates totalling 11.335 TRILLION SOUTH SUDANESE POUNDS, prioritizing investment in agriculture, livestock, and the mining sector to boost food security, economic growth, and sustainable development.

The Economic Cluster spokesperson and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Lily Albino Akol, said the budget proposal will now be submitted to the Council of Ministers before being tabled in the National Legislature for deliberation.
