RELIEF AUTHORITIES, WFP DEEPEN EFFORTS TO ADDRESS HUMANITARIAN CRISIS

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and the World Food Programme have held a bilateral meeting aimed at strengthening humanitarian cooperation and enhancing coordinated efforts to support vulnerable communities in the affected areas. The meeting explored key humanitarian priorities and practical solutions to the challenges affecting aid delivery in South Sudan. Minister Albino Akol Atak, emphasized the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for humanitarian actors to operate effectively. The World Food Programme Country Director, Mutinata Chimuka, pledges to work closely with national authorities and humanitarian partners to strengthen food security, emergency response, and resilience-building efforts.
